“Rick and I did training for a couple weeks prior to the shoot, and then we had these enormous cranes with these massive, I don’t know, pipes or whatever. And, yeah, tons of work, tons of green-screen-type stuff.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I reflected a very long time whether to play under my own name. I talked about this with my family and friends, but it’s true that my own name is very hard for people from America and therefore I have a nickname. I’m proud of my roots!” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I did a show that took place in the 1960s called “American Dreams,” and I really enjoyed that. People were so confused at the time. They didn’t know what to do with themselves, trying to figure out where they stood in terms of women’s rights and segregation. It was such an interesting time.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I more admire directors than actors, because I think directors could make good actors. I admire great storytellers and great filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick and Ingmar Bergman. Those are probably my two favorite directors.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I certainly don’t think they should live happily ever after, but it’s a nice distraction from the reality of … all the atrocities Stefan has committed throughout the years.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I take a bunch of product, spike my hair a little, and that’s it. It’s funny because it looks like stereotypical ‘vampire hair’, as if I got it done for this show. But I’ve been wearing my hair the same way since I was 16.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“As we age and (hopefully) progress, it is our responsibility to let go of the fear driven beliefs of our previous generation.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“For my final scene, I finished and had my eyes closed, and someone sprayed Funfetti in my face. It was a direct shot, in my face. I was doing this emotional scene. I was crying, and then, all of a sudden, I had Funfetti in my eyes. It was really funny.” ~ Paul Wesley.
“I think Stefan has been laid to rest … I’m trying to sort of do the opposite of what I’ve being doing for eight years for the most part. I don’t think I’ll be doing a supernatural show anytime soon, that’s for sure. I’m trying to branch out and do different things.” ~ Paul Wesley
